140 pages, 200,000 copies, nationwide distribution: "Saxon Switzerland – Your Holiday Magazine" is the most important printed medium for tourism marketing of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. It is published by the Saxon Switzerland Tourism Association. We have again created the editorial content for the publication.
Both parts of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains - Saxon Switzerland and Bohemian Switzerland - are popular holiday destinations. Every year, the region, stretching over an area of about 710 square kilometres crossing the frontier between Dresden and Prague, draws some seven million visitors from all over the world.
Principal attractions are Saxon Switzerland and Bohemian Switzerland; the two National parks together cover around 170 square kilometres. The important natural and cultural landscape is internationally known for its striking table-top mountains and rock formations as well as for being the cradle of the climbing sport. The region is also repeatedly selected as the setting for international film productions.
Along with the official tourism portal www.saechsische-schweiz.de, "Sächsische Schweiz – Ihr Urlaubsmagazin“ is the most important medium for marketing the region as a tourist destination. It is mostly distributed countrywide at holiday shows. It is also available free of charge from tourist offices, civic centres and many hotels, guest houses etc. in Saxon Switzerland. On www.saechsische-schweiz.de it can be read in electronic form or ordered as a hard copy.
