The exhibition organiser Fleet Events has entrusted the German tourism PR agency THIEL Public Relations (TPR) with media and marketing work for the travel exhibition Touristik & Caravaning 2017 (TC). TC is the largest travel exhibition in Central Germany, and takes place from 22 to 26 November 2017 in Leipzig. Presenting itself as partner country this year will be the Seychelles.
There will be some 600 organisations participating in the exhibition, from travel companies to societies and associations all offering travel and adventure experiences over an area covering about 55,000 square metres. Last year, around 60,000 visitors came for information on holiday regions, long-haul travel destinations, caravanning & camping as well as cycling tours and accessories.
The TC is an exhibition of experience and is aimed primarily at the private visitor. Apart from distributing information, advice and giving visitors the opportunity for making comparisons it also offers activity holidays and areas for special events.
Since 2016, the exhibition has been presenting a specialist programme in co-operation leading associations and media organisations in the tourism industry, thus offering an important communication platform for regional tourism industry. The TC has been on the exhibition market for over 25 years and since November 2015 it has been organised by FLEET Events.
Apart from the ongoing media work – press releases, press conferences, editorial work – as well as blogger/influencer relations, TPR will be handling the expansion of media co-operations and media planning. Key media targeted are nationally-distributed trade journals, local newspapers and events magazines. ■
